Track Promoter Dan Savino is pleased to announce that with the addition of the New Super V6 Late Model class, we are going to help promote and educate any future driver who is considering about owning one of these cars.

Driving Schools for the Super V6 Late Models will be scheduled throughout this years race season at Dog Hollow Speedway that will include the following: 
1. Professional instruction and information about the development and abilities of these finely tuned and engineered race cars.
2. 20 Laps of supervised training that will be run in 2 ten lap segments.
3. Consultation and discussion of participants experience on the track.
4. Lunch will be served at the conclusion of testing.

The dates for the Driving Schools are as follows:
• Saturday June 3rd
• Saturday July 8th
• Saturday August 12th
• Saturday September 9th

The cost for the Driving School experience will be $275.

Lastly to any participant who purchases a Super V6 Late Model, a credit will be given towards the purchase price of the vehicle. A table will be set up this Friday Night May 5th for information pertaining to the Driving School. You may also contact Dan Savino at 814-502-8898 for information pertaining to this new class.

Track Promoter Dan Savino has come up with three dates to make up the Feature Races from April 28th’s rain out.

• Friday June 2nd will be a Double Feature for the Four Cylinders as the make up race.
• Friday June 9th will be a Double Feature for the Crate Late Models as the make up race. 
• Friday June 16th will be a Double Feature for the 358 Semi Lates as the make up race.

Track Promoter Dan Savino is pleased to announce that the Mason Dixon Shootout Series race that was rained out on April 8th’s Sprint Time Spectacular has been rescheduled for Friday May 19th! All 358 Semi Lates that are racing at Dog Hollow Speedway will be racing with the Mason Dixon Shootout Series. This race will be paid under the Mason Dixon Shootout Series purse. Points will be calculated only for the 358 Semi Lates that run at Dog Hollow Speedway. Example: if one of our 358 Semi Lates has the best finish of 5th place, they will receive points for first place. If the next car finishes in 6th place, they will receive 2nd place points and so on and so forth. There will also be a weight break. Please stay tuned as more information will be coming shortly.

Just as a reminder, we are informing all Four Cylinder drivers to please check your seat belts before this Fridays upcoming event. Your belts must be changed a minimum of every 3 years. If it is found that your belts have reached/exceeded the 3 year limit, you will not be able to participate in this Fridays race! To all of our great racing Fans, Drivers, and Team Owners. Track Promoter Dan Savino was invited to attend an Open House for the new Super V6 Late Model series in Butler, PA yesterday (3-12-17). Below this post are some pictures taken at this Open House that will show how well these cars are built.

“As I have stated previously, these cars put on a phenomenal show. Not only are they super fast, but their paint schemes and logo placements present a very professional looking car.

Now onto the good stuff! Someone will have the chance to become one very lucky individual starting this weekend at the Indiana Mall Race Car Show as well as the Central PA 3rd Annual Race Car Show in Johnstown on April 1st – 2nd. We will be selling tickets for your chance to win a brand-new complete 2017 Super V6 Late Model (minus the seat!) We will only be selling 350 tickets! The cost of each ticket will be $100. Once all 350 tickets are sold, we will be pulling the winners ticket out on the front stretch. Here is how the breakdown works, 300 tickets = $30,000 which is the price of this brand-new car. The remaining $5,000 from these ticket sales will go to the “Make A Wish” foundation in the name Connor Bobik! The owners of the Super V6 Late Model series Mike & Tracy Spinneweber are very happy to be a part of such a wonderful charitable cause and we are very much looking forward to growing this new Super V6 Late Model series at Dog Hollow Speedway.”

Attention all race fans and Motorsports enthusiasts. Track Promoter Dan Savino is pleased to announce that on Saturday July 22nd, Dog Hollow Speedway will be hosting for the first timeThe Day Of Destruction!” This fun filled event will start out with Truck Drag Racing both Diesel and Gas as well as ATV & UTV Drag Racing. Then later, those wild and crazy Enduro Drivers will be making their second return to the Dog Pound in 2017 for a 100 Lap Spectacle that will most surely be entertaining. And finally, those rock ‘em sock ‘em Demolition Derby fanatics will be making their return to the Dog Pound since 2014 with their full size Demo cars to conclude the evening of destruction! This Demo Derby will be ran under the direction and supervision of Josh Charles and Tyler Smay. To all of our Super Fans! As previously stated back on January 20th, Tack Promoter Dan Savino informed everyone of the addition of the new Super V6 Late Model Series. As promised, Dan is following up with both information about this series as well as some photos of the cars that will be racing at DHS this year provided by TRD Racing, Inc. Dan is very excited about this years two new classes. The 358 Semi Late class as well as the Super V6 Late Model class will surely provide continual improvement for great racing action at Dog Hollow Speedway. Dan would also like to remind everyone that they will have the opportunity to view these cars in person at both the Indiana Mall Race Car Show on March 16th – 18th & the Central PA 3rd Annual Race Car Show at the Galleria Mall in Johnstown on April 1st – 2nd. Dan highly suggests that as a great way to get rid of that cabin fever is to come enjoy what will surely be an unbelievable night of racing!

The Following is a statement from TRD Racing, Inc:

“Thank you for your interest in TRD Racing Inc.’s newly-formed Super V6 Late Model division. We are excited to showcase our product at the Dog Hollow Speedway in 2017. Although our racecars may be considered a “small car” division, these three-quarter scale Super V6 Late Models have the technology, the horsepower, and the aggressiveness necessary to thrill any dirt track racer, as well as all the dedicated race fans who enthusiastically fill the grandstands each week.

Our notion for the new division is an “out-of-the-box” and economical race car division that transfers pressure away from the pocket book. Using expenses to go faster will be eliminated. Instead, racers are motivated to use their driving skills and setup techniques to progress, allowing the division to stay competitive. During the five year development of our racecars, we at TRD Racing Inc. focused on four main objectives: affordability, safety, durability, and low maintenance. These goals emphasize our vision of advancing a competitive, yet economical contribution to motorsports.

The biggest challenge in meeting our objectives was keeping the overall cost of the racecars as affordable as possible without sacrificing speed or competition. Since most racers find it necessary to enjoy their passion of racing on some type of a limited budget, we wanted to help enable people who may not have funds available to purchase a full size super late model. As many know, the single, most expensive component of any racecar is the engine. We worked extensively with Bullock Race Engines to develop a cost-effective, reliable V-6 4.3 liter Chevy racing engine to power our cars. All Super V6 Late Models will run these engines as supplied by TRD Racing Inc. which are sealed and cannot be altered. Sealed engines not only keep the cost of the engine in check, they also help to level the playing field and eliminate cheating. All the engines are dyno’d to keep them within a 2% difference in horsepower and torque.

Other cost-containment features built into our racecars include a hologrammed spec chassis, sealed shocks, one spec tire compound, and the use of pump gas. Although our cars have all the adjustments of a full-scale late model, we would like to stress that the chassis of our Super V6 Late Models cannot be altered. TRD Racing, Inc. will be on-site at each event to enforce the rule package and perform regular tech inspections. At an affordable price of less than $30,000 for a brand new turn-key racecar, our Super V6 Late Model division is suitable for any motorsports enthusiast.

Safety and durability were paramount in the re-design of the chassis in 2013. Audie Swartz of Swartz Race Cars grew up building super late model chassis, so we were thrilled when he agreed to help re-design our three-quarter version. His extensive knowledge of aerodynamics and performance were vitally important as well as his commitment to factoring in as many safety features as possible. From the specially-designed roll cage on the driver side to the billet hubs, our focus was directed towards strength, durability, and weight consciousness. Every square inch of the surface area was designed to create downforce, thereby providing better drivability through the corners as well as the straight-a-ways.

Our desire to limit the cost and time involved in maintaining the racecar was equally important. After all…what is the point of offering an affordable racecar if it becomes too expensive and time-consuming to maintain from week to week? We answered this question with several solutions. Most significantly is the implementation of using only one tire compound. Gone are the days of purchasing and hauling 20 different tires. Additionally, no siping or grooving of the tires will be permitted. We chose one compound tough enough to last, but soft enough to create good traction. We anticipate the ability to run four to five features with the same right rear tire! The concepts of using pump gas, a spec chassis, a spec engine, spec shocks, as well as one spec tire all contribute to reducing the cost and time of ownership. This allows more time spent with family and less time maintaining a racecar from week to week. And finally, keep in mind, a smaller car requires a smaller trailer.

As previously announced, the Super V6 Late Models will make their debut at Dog Hollow Speedway on Saturday, April 8 during the Spring Time Spectacular. We are extremely excited to be a part of the Dog Hollow Speedway family in 2017. Attention all Pure Stock Drivers and Team Owners who plan on racing at DHS during the 2017 Season. Track Promoter Dan Savino would like to clear up some questions and concerns pertaining to several statements in regards to suspensions in the Pure Stock class. Rumor has it that there is a possibility that a few cars have been converted from a Street Stock to a Pure Stock that are using a Camaro front-end clipped onto a metric GM chassis. THIS IS ILLEGAL UNDER OUR 2017 RULES PACKAGE!
